Monday Roundup

It is my week at the Blogging Bookworm, so pop on over to tell us what you are reading. We would like to update our review resources with any new titles that are gracing your shelves Especially desired are guest reviews, and children's title suggestions if there is anything striking your fancy.

I'm going to use the picture above as my "Roundup" picture. I call this God in the Trees.

Do you ever have those moments where you feel a deeply spiritual connection to the Earth? Is it God? Your representation of such? The winds of Karma, a Earth Goddess? Just a higher power? Don't those moments just strike you in a deep and relevant manner that speaks to your soul so much more than anything else that may be contrived.

Here the wind was blowing, the trees rustling, the birds calling and crickets singing. Spirits seems to speak to me through the trees, voices of deep respect and honor at the natural world. I think part of my soul must be in trees.

I have those moments of spiritual connection pretty much every single day I'm outside. And having at least a little time in nature every day is almost as essential to my well-being as eating and sleeping...

I'm so with you on this!! Last night we took a walk at dusk through a new to us area and it was beautiful, magical. I know it's special when L4 starts crying because she doesn't want the walk to end and us to go home.

Thanks for sharing the lovely photo!

Oh, glad to hear you on this guys. I so related to Last Child in the Woods on so many levels.....as an adult! I think our spririt needs the natural world in a very real way. Shan

I totally agree with your observations about being one with the trees! When I'm not working, volunteering and raising my kids, I love to take my camera and notice the little things out there in nature that I tend to rush right past! Thank you for sharing your lovely thoughts.

I try to see the wonder in everything...which is really hard to do on an everyday basis. However, when it happens, it does speak to my soul,
